Northwest Campus, Tarrant County College District

Project Overview

The Rios Group (TRG) provided 63,000 linear feet of Quality Level B Subsurface Utility Engineering along the Tarrant County College Northwest Campus near Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, Texas. Also known as “designating” Quality Level B provides the horizontal position of subsurface utilities within approximately one foot. Due to the congested utilities throughout the project area, TRG assigned multiple QLB SUE field crews to perform 2-man, passive sweeps for utilities and to increase field production. Utilities designated included: electric, water, sanitary sewer, and four parallel chilled waterlines that ran the entire length of the project. The final deliverable consisted of a comprehensive utility file in CADD format, depicting locations of the designated utilities.
