Northwest Campus, Tarrant County College District
The Rios Group (TRG) provided 63,000 linear feet of Quality Level "B" Subsurface Utility Engineering along the Tarrant County College Northwest Campus near Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, Texas. Also known as “designating” Quality Level “B” provides the horizontal position of subsurface utilities within approximately one foot. Due to the congested utilities throughout the project area, TRG assigned multiple QL “B” SUE field crews to perform 2-man, passive sweeps for utilities and to increase field production. Utilities designated included: electric, water, sanitary sewer, and four parallel chilled waterlines that ran the entire length of the project. The final deliverable consisted of a comprehensive utility file in CADD format, depicting locations of the designated utilities.
