Project Overview

TRG provided Subsurface Utility Engineering and is currently providing Utility Coordination services for this TxDOT plans, specifications, and estimates project to design super two passing lanes for US 277 from the Coke County Line to US 67 in Tom Green County. This project also included grading ditches and extending culverts along 41 miles of highway. In support of the prime firm, TRG provided 485,750 LF of QLC/D on 41 miles of two-lane rural highway north of San Angelo, Texas. TRG also coordinated with 5 utility owners and found 159 potential utility conflicts within the project limits. The UC team worked closely with the design team to change grading and culvert slopes to avoid utility conflicts and coordinated with utility owners to obtain the depths of their utility lines since QLA was not part of the scope. TRG was able to ensure minimal relocations and time delays by avoiding most utility conflicts and accelerating accommodation where needed.
